Ministry
Jacob has been actively involved in ministry since he was 12 years old when he began playing musical instruments in church. At the age of 13, Jacob felt his call to the ministry at a UPCI General Conference in Des Moines, IA. He preached his first message at the age of 14, and was very involved in his local church throughout his teenage years. At the age of 18, Jacob attended Gateway College of Evangelism in St. Louis, MO. He graduated Cum Laude in May of 2004 with a Bachelor of Theology degree. That summer Jacob was a part of Youth On Missions to Bolivia, South America. He also completed two internships. One in Kansas City at the Life Church (Pastor Stan Gleason), and the Pentecostals Of Alexandria Training Center in Alexandria, LA (Pastor Anthony Mangun). Jacob began evangelizing full-time in January of 2005. He obtained his General license with the United Pentecostal Church six months later. For the next two years, Jacob continued in full-time evangelism. In August of 2007, Jacob served as Campus Pastor of Gateway College of Evangelism (St. Louis, MO) for the 2007-2008 school year. The Tapias currently reside in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and continue to evangelize across the United States. They love being involved at their home church, Cornerstone Tabernacle (Pastor Brian Parkey), where they serve as Student Pastor.
